Working directly for a newly appointed president, The Inform Group was hired to lead the charge of bringing the communications of this major industrial power transmission company into the 21st century. With annual sales approaching $90M and facilities located throughout North and South America, Sumitomo had weak content and management processes, a dated image and minimal Web presence. To compete, the company was in need of a more streamlined look and voice.

Beginning with a company-wide Communications Audit that resulted in a detailed Recommendations and Action Plan, we completed a comprehensive redesign and updating of all electronic and print communications. We executed the design, content development, project management and technical information design that constituted a complete re-branding of the company.

At the same time, we developed production processes and identified necessary upgrades in development tools to increase productivity, and played a role in training and supporting internal staff throughout. At the conclusion of the two-year assignment, Sumitomo's sales and profitability were at an all-time high.
